Homeschooling is about freedom more than education. You are right, it's not going to be just religious folks. I bet people in England talked about Puritans behind their backs too saying things like, "Well, they are just avoiding reality going over there in that colony." In the end, of course, it was about everyone, not just religious people who wanted to get the hell out of a bad situation and make a better one for themselves.

And my second point, I haven't been getting much done either. It's like summer has come early. I have always schooled year round and this is the first time I've been disorganized and unfocussed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13441809988487585009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19068881.post-1145324514878741012006-04-17T20:41:00.000-05:002006-04-17T20:41:00.000-05:00You know, I have found that my kids like and need ...You know, I have found that my kids like and need scheduling. It gives them a since of "security" in knowing what is happening and what is to come. And, it keeps me in line...I loath not feeling a satisfactory end or accomplishment. Good luck!

Also, I find including the kids and letting them help with the planning or scheduling helps tremendously (especially if some of the day's activites are not their favorite). They feel better if they at least have a say in when we do the less desirable stuff.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13441809988487585009noreply@blogger.com
