start the new year with what?

It's late, and I should be in bed. Momma is dozing. The boys are both in bed and asleep. I should also be in bed and asleep.

Checking my stats the last few days I've found some of my posts showing up HERE. I don't know exactly who these cunts are stealing my rambling, but I'd really like to know what's going on. I wrote that stuff, and I don't like them pilfering. Who are they, and how can I stop them?

If you have any news or info about this type of thing, please comment or email me. I'd like for them to not only be stopped but also to be caught and busted. They are not writing this material, and they have a blog based on other people's work. I'm not the only person having their content stolen, and it is beyond uncool.

It's all automated, usually based on some keyword. They steal content trying to make a few cents on Google ads. There is little you can do about it. If you can determine from your hit counter logs where they are coming from you can block the IP address, however they almost always are using dynamic IP addressing that changes.

There is a homeschool specific splog that takes my posts. I put in a quite a bit of time trying to block it and finally just gave up.

My posts get stolen by someone with a .cn address.

I thought it was RSS-based theft...so if the feed gets turned off, the pilfering will stop...? I have no idea.

I find a new one of these about once a month. Because we have our own domain, we just block them. I don't know if you can do that through blogger or not.
